Dark perception was amazing! I got sucked in from the very first few words and I couldn’t put it down! I didn’t mean to read the entire book in one sitting! Dark Perception was not just another romance, it was so much more. With psychic/seers, spirits/ghosts and one very powerful man. It was by no means over the top, and learning about these “ghosts” were my favorite part! The characters were just wonderful, and I was certainly thrown for a loop with Nathan Cole (otherwise known as Sir). Alexandrea Weiss knew what she was doing while creating this story and her love for New Orleans definitely shines through!
I got sucked into this story AND Nathan Cole( falling for his facade, I admit). Now, I’m sitting not so patiently for book 2… There was not a cliffhanger ending per say just an excellent opening for a continuation story. The writing was wonderful, a tad too descriptive in some parts, but I just loved the underlying themes of power, contentment, posessiveness, love and shame. This was a great read and I’m definitely looking for more from this author!
From New Orleans, Alexandrea Weis was raised in the motion picture industry and began writing stories at the age of eight. In college she studied nursing and went on to teach at a local university. After several years in the medical field, she decided to pick up the pen once again and began her first novel, To My Senses. Since that time she has published many novels. Infusing the rich tapestry of her hometown into her award-winning books, she believes that creating vivid characters makes a story memorable.
Alexandrea Weis is also a certified/permitted wildlife rehabber with the La. Wildlife and Fisheries. When she is not writing, she rescues orphaned and injured wildlife. She is married; they live in New Orleans.
